Good ‘Ole Nashville

Posted on 2009 07, 16 by hayley

Nashville was a blast!  Check out the pics of the entrance to the TN State Fairgrounds where I went to sing the National Anthem.  I met some pretty cool folks at the Nashville Roller Derby… Quite an experience within itself!! :) :) :) I would have taken pictures inside, but they wouldn’t let me!

After my enlightening adventure at the derby, the next day I worked on some new songs for my next album… Which will be released…. Hmmmm….

Well, anyway, at about 10 PM one night I headed over to John Denosky’s recording studio where I layed down vocal tracks for a duet with Ryan Johns, which will be on his debut album coming soon!  At about 4 AM we were all delirious after what seemed like a million takes of “The One”… LOL… Gotta love John! :)

That’s about it for now… I’ll blog some more about my fabulously busy summer later!

Endless traveling…..

Hola everyone,

I’m sitting here in my car just chilling, listening to some Colbie Caillat, and blogging.  I don’t think I’ve ever spent this much time in a car…..EVER.  The past three weeks have been spent in Tioga, LA, and San Antonio, TX, and right now I’m headed to grace the wonderful city of Nashville with my presence.  Woohoo! I’m super excited.  ”Why am I going to Nashville”, you may ask…..well thanks to Mr. Steve Bowman, I have the opportunity to sing our nation’s anthem at the NASHVILLE ROLLER DERBY, at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds!:)  I’m kinda nervous….I’ve never been to one…I don’t even know what to expect.  I’ve heard that it’s a lot of ladies in rollerblades, racing.  I hear it can get pretty intense, so we shall see.  Maybe they’ll let me join them….hehe yea right:).  Anyway, before I started making my way here, yesterday I got home from one of my favorite places…San Antonio, TX!!  I had a blast!  We went to Sea World, where I got to swim with beluga whales, and do all other types of crazy, fun things.  We also went to the revolving Tower of Americas to eat dinner one night…..that was quite the experience.  It is a revolving restaurant from where I got to enjoy the lights of the entire city during dinner.  It was so cool!!  Well that’s all for now…We’re about 15 minutes out of Nashville, and I think the GPS lady is getting us lost….YIKES!  I’ll update all of you on the derby tomorrow!

Moments of Worship

Posted on 2009 07, 05 by hayley

The lights were low, the crowd was thick, and the music was rockin’.  And better than that, Jesus Christ was in the house.  Last week was one of the highlights of my musical career.  Not only did I have the opportunity to be a part of the worship team at the Louisiana District UPC Senior Youth camp under the direction of the very talented Johnathan Dean, but my band and I also opened for the Moments of Worship Tour with Jamie Jamgochain and Daniel Kirkley on Saturday night.  God is still changing lives and healing hearts through the ministry of music!
