Several nights ago, I was honored to be a part of the Make-a-Wish Foundation Benefit Concert.  Thomas Culp and Cody Smith came out to help me with an acoustic set.  It was great to see people from the community show their support by donating to this cause and helping the Copeland family's wish become a reality.  Here are a few pictures of an evening that made me feel like I had made a difference in the lives of others.

The Christian Homeschool Association of Northeast Louisiana will hold its commencement exercises Friday, May 7, 2010 at 7 p.m. at The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities in West Monroe, Louisiana.  I have been home schooled for ten years, and now I'm FINALLY graduating!  It has been quite a journey, and I have so many memories, such as driving all the way to Utah. Each time we crossed a state line, my mom would make my sister and me read about that state.  I always looked forward to our "study retreats" to the beach where we would prepare for all those final exams we never took!  On a serious note, my homeschool experience has taught me the value of learning without boundaries or handcuffs.  Each adventure became a classroom and some of my greatest dreams have been nurtured, even have come to pass.  Even though this chapter of my life is about to close, I look forward to what God has in store.

John DeNosky and I had a wonderful evening performing acoustic sets at Jim Bowie's Relay Station in Enterprise, LA!  The owners, Mr. Raymond and his wife, are true examples of "southern hospitality"!  Great food and great friends.  Thanks to all who came out!!

Thanks to all my friends and family for coming out to Johnny's Pizza to wish me a happy 18th birthday!  I suppose the highlight of the evening would of course have to be when my parents presented me with a blue Jeep Liberty with rollback roof! :)  It's been a blast cruisin' around town on these beautiful spring days!  I love you all very much, and thanks again from the bottom of my heart!
